Cretex Purchases Concrete Products of Wyoming in Casper

CASPER – Cretex Concrete Products West, Inc. of Rapid City, S.D. has recently purchased the assets of Concrete Products of Wyoming (CPW) in Casper, Wyo.

CPW has been precasting concrete pipe and related drainage products at the I-25 and Bryan Stock Trial location since the early 1970’s, and operations will continue with the present staff and at the present location for the next couple of years. During this time, Cretex West will be building a new precasting facility in the town of Bar Nunn.

“The Casper / Bar Nunn location will enable Cretex West to better serve Wyoming customers and will strengthen our footprint in the Rocky Mountain region,” said Steve Wagner, PE, President of Cretex. “Like CPW, Cretex West has a reputation for producing quality products and providing superior customer service.”

This location is the first to be built as part of a larger industrial subdivision being developed with the assistance of a Business Committed Grant that the Town of Bar Nunn received from the Wyoming Business Council.

“It’s obviously rewarding when we can play a part in retaining and expanding a quality operation like CPW in Wyoming and we look forward to a lasting and profitable relationship with them as they grow and prosper,” said Business Council’s East Central Regional Director Steve Elledge.

Cretex West has been precasting drainage products since 1920 and has similar facilities located in Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
