Grants for Energy Audits and Renewable Energy Assistance
Applications are available for Wyoming businesses and non-profits to receive up to 75% reimbursement on energy audits or renewable energy assistance.
The Energy Audit and Renewable Energy Development Assistance (EA & REDA) Program is designed to provide low cost energy audits, which evaluate your current energy use and recommend cost effective improvements, and allow you to review small renewable energy options. The program offers $1000 audits for $250. In other words, you pay $250 for a $1000 audit or renewable energy development assistance! If your review will be more involved than can be completed for $1000, then you will be referred to the State Energy Office’s Small Business/Non-Profit Energy Audit and Retrofit Program.
Rural small businesses, agricultural producers, and rural electric cooperatives. Remember that a “small business” can be quite a large business by Wyoming standards, so if you have any questions please contact us or review the Small Business Administration (SBA) size standards. Non-profits and residential dwellings are not eligible for this program, although non-profits can seek financial assistance directly from the State Energy Office.
Rural areas in Wyoming are currently defined as all areas outside of Cheyenne (and immediately adjoining suburbs). Yes, Casper is currently eligible!
