March e2e: Energy Recovery – From Startup to a Public Corporation
Added: March 4th, 2010
At the next e2e event on March 17th at the Hilton Garden Inn, Hans Peter Michelet, Executive Chairman of Energy Recovery, will share his experience building Energy Recovery up from a two-person startup to a public company that did over $50 million in revenue last year. Mr. Michelet invested in Energy Recovery, Inc. (ERI) in 1995 back when it was just two employees and was no more than a startup venture. He worked through serious challenges including being told that the product simply could not be done. In spite of all the challenges along the way, ERI went public with an IPO in July of 2008 during what was described by many as “one of the worst market conditions in seventy five years” yet ERI raised more than $75 million in new capital. ERI now employs more than 78 employees in five countries and has more than $53 million in annual revenue.
Join us at the next e2e to hear first-hand how Hans Peter Michelet turned a start-up into a successful public corporation.
Hans Peter Michelet is our speaker this month. He was named the SmartBusiness Entrepreneur of the Year for his efforts in taking a small startup company public raising more than $75 million in capital.
