Session 1: Davona Douglas
The Wyoming Research Products Center offers no-cost assistance to Wyoming inventors and small businesses regarding patents, trademarks, copyright protection and commercialization.
Topics will include:
- Basics of trademarks
- Basics of copyrights
- Basics of trade secrets
- How we match Wyoming inventors? technical needs with resources and technical expertise at the University of Wyoming.
Session 2: Toni Tease
Congress overhauled the U.S. patent laws last September, and this seminar will teach you not only how the patent laws were changed but how these changes will affect the way you do business.
Topics will include:
- First-inventor-to-file
- New procedures for challenging issued patents
- Limitations on patent troll litigation
- Standards for patentability of inventions
- The patent process
