Manufacturing-Works Interns Achieve “Engineers in Training” Status

Manufacturing-Works is pleased to announce that interns Wendy Jo Daisley and Heather Young, engineering students at the University of Wyoming, have successfully achieved a major milestone on their way to becoming registered Professional Engineers.

Both interns passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE), an 8-hour test which is the first step in getting their Professional Engineer License (PE). The exam covers general engineering subjects as well as individual subjects in their specific disciplines.

Wendy Jo Daisley has been a Manufacturing-Works intern for one year as she completes her degree in architectural engineering at the University of Wyoming. She has served as Treasurer and Vice President of the Society of Women Engineers. Wendy brings to the M-W team an emphasis on construction methods, building performance and energy efficiency. Originally from the state of Washington, she is completing her education in Wyoming. She will graduate in December 2009.

Heather Young has been a Manufacturing-Works intern for one year as she completes her degree in chemical engineering at the University of Wyoming. She served as 2008-09 President of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). A native of Wyoming, she continues to be active in SWE. Heather will graduate in December 2009 and is anxious to apply her education to the real-world business of manufacturing.

Through Manufacturing-Works, both Wendy and Heather have had the opportunity to work with Wyoming manufacturers on a variety of projects.
