Both classroom and hands-on laboratory exercises are used to teach this class. As a part of the class, students will be fitted for an air purifying respirator (ARP), receive practical self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) experience, and work in OSHA levels A, B, and C protective equipment. Students will set up a Site Safety Plan for a mock hazardous waste site.
