Experience

Lloyd obtained his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. In his early engineering career he designed material handling, piping and pumping and structural systems at rock quarries and coal mines. For the past 31 years he has worked at Rantec Corporation in Ranchester, Wyoming. Lloyd began as plant manager, gaining experience in manufacture of a wide range of water soluble polymer products. Over the ensuing years Lloyd gained experience in laboratory operation, product development and application, computer network systems and process systems. On moving to technical sales responsibility, Lloyd participated with numerous customers in the applications of Rantec polymer products. During the same period Lloyd purchased and setup and accounting system to fully integrate sales, purchasing, inventory, invoicing and general ledger. In 2004 assuming the responsibilities of General Manager of the firm, Lloyd was responsible for all aspects of sales, purchasing, manufacture and delivery by his team of 8 personnel. In 2012 with one other Rantec employee, Lloyd participated in the Innovation Engineering week long course which affirmed many of the aspects of innovation already utilized by Rantec.
