Experience

With a background in finance, Nancy Fallas launched her career in economic development when she began to work for the Wyoming Science, Technology and Economic Development Authority (STEA) in 1995. While employed with STEA, she was part of the steering committee that created the Wyoming Business Council in 1998, a blending of over 23 economic development organizations within the state. Shortly thereafter she accepted employment with the Wyoming Community Foundation and learned that philanthropy was another stepping stone to ensuring economic viability for communities and businesses throughout the state. Then, in 2000, she returned to the economic development arena to work for Manufacturing-Works (M-W) at the University of Wyoming as part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology/Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership, by delivering solutions for creating wealth for the state’s small to mid-size manufacturers and technology companies. A considerate, concerned and well-informed individual, Nancy prides herself on taking the correct stand, maybe not the politically right stand on issues, and she studies them thoroughly before letting her thoughtful opinion be known. She has been a committed resident for most of her life and is proud to call Wyoming home, raising two children here and welcoming seven grandchildren to the state, and continues to work for the benefit of this state and its residents.
