Tyler O’Daniel
Assistant director
Tyler O’Daniel serves as the Assistant Director of Manufacturing Works, where he helps lead statewide initiatives focused on strengthening the Wyoming manufacturing industry through operational excellence, workforce development, and strategic growth. Working with manufacturers of all sizes, Tyler partners with business leaders to identify challenges, implement practical solutions, and improve long-term competitiveness.
Raised on a ranch near Chadron, Nebraska, Tyler developed an early appreciation for manufacturing, agriculture, and hands-on problem solving. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration at the University of Wyoming.
Since joining Manufacturing Works, Tyler has led numerous client engagements from assessment through implementation, including Lean and Six Sigma workshops, ISO and AS quality management system projects, workforce development initiatives, and operational improvement efforts. His focus is helping Wyoming manufacturers increase efficiency, improve quality, and achieve sustainable growth.
Outside of Manufacturing Works, Tyler is an entrepreneur and product developer. He recently won a regional startup competition for an innovative product he designed and is currently advancing the technology through the patent process. His firsthand experience launching a startup provides valuable insight into innovation, commercialization, and the challenges manufacturers face when bringing new products to market.
Tyler is passionate about helping Wyoming manufacturers innovate, grow, and remain competitive in an evolving marketplace.
