Your sneak peek at the Industry 4.0 lab

Jun 15, 2022 | Newsletter

We’re hard at work on our Industry 4.0 lab: An automation and demo line that demonstrates the benefits of Industry 4.0, particularly in relation to upscaling employees and addressing the current labor market shortage.

This one-of-a-kind design includes a Glowforge 3D laser printer and two co-bots that can demonstrate pick-and-place palletizing, machine tending and automated welding. (Thanks to Wyoming’s own High Country Industrial, a metal fabrication and welding shop, for building out the lab’s table!)

Once completed, the lab will be housed in the Impact 307 business incubator at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, but available for transport around the state to industry partners, manufacturers, and both K-12 and secondary schools.
