IWS distinguishes itself through its commitment to safety training, preventative equipment maintenance, and adaptability to diverse field environments across Wyoming.
With a team of about 100 employees, IWS emphasizes customer satisfaction and continuous innovation to meet the evolving needs of upstream energy clients in demanding operational settings.
THE CHALLENGE
As IWS experienced growth in demand, they recognized the need to enhance operational efficiency and streamline production processes. The company sought ways to eliminate waste, improve workflow, maximize productivity, and empower their workforce.
IWS leadership understood that adopting LEAN principles could optimize their operations, but they needed structured guidance to implement these methodologies effectively.
Seeking expert assistance, IWS turned to Manufacturing Works for ways to improve operational efficiency while also investing in the development of their workforce.
MEP CENTER’S ROLE
In collaboration with third-party provider and trusted partner The Effective Syndicate, Manufacturing Works organized a series of Kaizen workshops tailored to IWS’s operational goals. These workshops focused on identifying inefficiencies, improving workspace layout, streamlining time usage, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Every employee who participated in the training earned a Yellow Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma, equipping them with valuable problem-solving tools and a shared framework for process optimization.
This initiative not only strengthened IWS’s operational performance but also empowered their team with the skills and mindset needed for sustained improvement.
