What is CONNEX™?
CONNEX™ is a cloud-based, industry-designed software platform that connects all manufacturers into a searchable database. It allows manufacturers, suppliers and buyers to quickly post and respond to needs, visualize supply chain risk, search for qualified manufacturers and discover new business opportunities. CONNEX™ Wyoming puts you deeply into Wyoming’s supply chain network and seamlessly integrates with the highly respected Manufacturers Marketplace, sponsored by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).
Who’s behind CONNEX™?
CONNEX™ is a powerful tool for you, the American manufacturer. This is the biggest initiative ever to promote a comprehensive, practical online tool to connect and strengthen the U.S. Manufacturing Supply Chain.
CONNEX™ is being rolled out and supported by:
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST-MEP)
- State MEP Network Partners, including Manufacturing Works
- The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) & Wyoming Economic Development Corporation
- Legislators, economic developers and chambers of commerce
- Other state leaders and business associations
What is the Manufacturers Marketplace and how does it work with CONNEX™ Wyoming?
CONNEX™ Wyoming is designed to integrate with Manufacturers Marketplace, the premier national database platform that connects more than 140,000 U.S. manufacturers nationwide. Manufacturers Marketplace is populated with extensive data provided by national associations, state and local partnerships, and companies themselves, resulting in a robust industry connection tool that reduces time, money and supply-chain risk while also strengthening the U.S. manufacturing supply chain.

How will CONNEX™ help strengthen my Supply Chain?
You can find alternative suppliers, view your supply chain, highlight single supplier and financial risks within your supply chain, see companies on government blacklists, and more. You can also find suppliers by searching the thousands of state manufacturers and using filters to identify companies with products and services that match your specific needs. For national supply chain connectivity, enroll in the Manufacturers Marketplace through CONNEX™ Wyoming.
Does CONNEX™ allow me to post business needs or find business opportunities?
Yes! With CONNEX™ Wyoming and Manufacturers Marketplace, you can view and post RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, surplus material or equipment lists, and any other type of business need you may have. You can also issue notifications to different network groups within the platform (small businesses, educational institutions, custom lists, etc.) or sign up to receive notifications of important posts from other users.
I struggle to see the breadth of my supply chain. What can I do?
Never has it been easier to visually see your supply chain. Visit Wyoming.mfgconnex.com to view your supply chain in different ways and filter it to view what is most helpful to you. This information remains confidential to your organization.
How do I find Wyoming suppliers?
Use CONNEX™ Wyoming to search thousands of Wyoming manufacturers and use filters to identify companies that best meet your needs. If for any reason you are unable to find just the right supplier in Wyoming through CONNEX™ Wyoming, you can easily expand your search nationally by enrolling and seamlessly integrating into the Manufacturers Marketplace.
What does it cost to access CONNEX™ Wyoming?
Because of the support behind this initiative, access to CONNEX™ Wyoming is being provided free of charge to Wyoming manufacturers. Manufacturers who join between September 29 and November 29 , 2022, will also receive free access to the Manufacturers Marketplace for life, only through Manufacturing Works.
How do I request a CONNEX™ Wyoming account?
To create an account:
- Visit https://app.connexmarketplace.com/create-account
- Click the “Request an Account” button, fill out the form, and submit
- You will receive a response within two business days
How do I access my free lifetime account to Manufacturers Marketplace?
First, get your login to CONNEX™ Wyoming. Then, when you do a search within the CONNEX™ Wyoming platform, you will be given an option to expand to the national database in the Manufacturers Marketplace. Choose that option. You will then be prompted to set up your national profile. Do this between September 29 and November 29, 2022, to receive FREE access for life to the national Manufacturers Marketplace database system (a $500/year value).
